I did a back of the envelope calculation, using petroleum and coal consumption in each country, and also the amount of CO2 exhaled by the average person, and found that 1 US citizen equals 4 Chinese. Admittedly, most of the US CO2 comes from machines, but nonetheless, the human amount is a factor as well. I would like to see that human effect included in future analysis.
PS: Since California now considers CO2 a pollutant, breathing in CA means you are polluting. Shame on you.
