Uses the x-windows xalloc command to allocate memory.

Uses the x-windows xalloc command to allocate memory.
Parameters:
ptr - is a copy of the returned pointer.
size - is the number of bytes in each element.
n_have - is the number of elements.
n_inc - is the number of bytes between elements.
Returns:
void pointer to the malloc'ed memory.
