- We use the same code and makefile
- There is a system independent makefile in Splicer and Sagan directories
to make Splicer, Sagan, HSplicer, and HSagan.
- The Logo files are made in a different directory

- On PC use Cygwin, which is free and gives us Motif: http://www.cygwin.com/
- On Linux, use Redhat 9.x, but should work on most versions
- On Mac, use OSX 10.3, with XFree X11 and with Fink
- All are free software
